ABOUT SEENS
My name is Sien, founder of Seens Vintage. At Seens, we source furniture from the 1950s – 1970s, refurbish it, and sell it through our webshop, store, and Instagram. We want to convince this generation of the quality and craftsmanship of amazing vintage and design furniture. Weekly, we make purchases, refurbish furniture, and present it beautifully in the store. I make videos of all these things, but I no longer have time to create good Reels from them. And that's a shame, because we have a large reach on Instagram. That's why I'm looking for a freelancer to help with editing Instagram Reels.
YOUR TASKS
Once a week, you will receive our unedited videos (shot with an iPhone) – supplemented with any voice-overs or information you need to know. You'll assemble them using your own laptop and/or phone. The video should be completely Instagram-proof: a smooth video with a catchy 'hook', a result, and a Call To Action. If necessary, you don't mind recording a voice-over yourself, just with your phone.
You then prepare the video in Meta with a corresponding caption. Later, we might start working with automatic replies (e.g., reply 'Cabinet' and receive a link). What kind of videos are they? All sorts! Product videos, sourcing trips, refurbishment videos, informative videos, and style videos, etc. Check out our Instagram Reels so you have an idea.
As you can see, our videos are not perfectly filmed or edited. That makes them personal. Our Reels could be a bit more professional, but we don't want them to look too slick. They need to remain personal and not appear like an advertisement.
A relevant education is not a must. As long as you are skilled in video editing, have a good eye for it, and know what trends are happening. Therefore, it's not necessary to use a specific program, unless you prefer to work with one. The use of AI is also not a problem if it helps you work faster. We currently just use Instagram Edits.
HOURS
The number of videos will vary per week. Initially, I expect you to make about 1 to 4 videos per week. Simple videos like this one usually take about 15 minutes to make, while more extensive videos take a maximum of 60 minutes. If we see good results, we will expand, and thus more hours will be added.
This work can be done entirely from home, but if you like, you are welcome at our office in Lichtenvoorde. That can be on Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday.
