This wonderful vintage hall bench was designed by Kai Kristiansen for Aksel Kjersgaard. 1960s Danish design at its best. This solid small bench or coffee table is made of rosewood. The flames of this wood are a work of art in themselves. Furthermore, the furniture is minimally designed and beautifully finished.
The bench can be disassembled and shipped.
Rosewood has a distinct, artistic wood grain and is a tropical hardwood. In the 1960s, rosewood was regularly used for high-quality products, but now the use of this material is very limited because its use was accompanied by an enormous amount of deforestation. Fortunately, there are now strict regulations, but that makes it extra important that pieces like these are given a new life with love.
