About 'Split':
Split is a translation of 'Wild en Vri-j' (Wild and Free). The division becomes visible through a horizon that splits the image in two from bottom left to top right.
Wild: in the foreground, a lush, hilly landscape.
Free: Above it, a colorful sky, endless and open, with contours reminiscent of a village view.
Because the paper is made from agricultural waste, the background is not white. See photo.
