00853 This vintage design chair, knee chair, ergonomic chair or rocking chair was designed by the Norwegian Peter Opsvik in 1979 and made by Stokke. This model, Variable, is still sold. No longer by Stokke but by Varier Furniture. The colours of this chair are characteristic of the 80s. Condition: good, a few spots on the fabric (last photos). Dimensions: W 48 x H 88 x D 85

About the chair As the name "Variable" suggests, it is important that the chair encourages movement and variation. It emphasizes the kneeling position. Variable can be the chair for users who like to sit "actively" and find the right balance for the upper body and head. By sitting "actively", users can strengthen their back and abdominal muscles. The shin support allows for a more forward-leaning seat angle, which gives the user a better posture for the back. The main function of the shin supports is to prevent the user from sliding forward off the chair when the chair is tilted forward towards the table.
