This fantastic vintage globe by DORIA is hand-blown and made of so-called iced glass, finished with a chrome holder. With the golden LED bulb inside, this creates wonderfully warm ice :) Made in the 60s, yet a timeless design. You can feel the quality of the lamp in every detail. This smaller, matching version is also still available!
Condition: very good. There is a small chip under the chrome cap. This is not visible because the cap hangs over it (last photo). Includes new LED bulb.

About DORIA The internationally renowned brand DORIA was founded in 1945 in Sonnfeld, Germany. In addition to glass production, they produced the most exceptional, innovative lamps of the finest quality, designed by important designers. In the 60s and 70s, the company experienced its heyday. The hand-blown chandeliers, pendant lamps, table lamps, and ceiling lights made of high-quality glass became internationally popular. When mass production of glass became increasingly common in the 80s, the company went bankrupt due to cheaper competition. What a shame! If only more of these hand-blown lamps had been made.
