01430 This space age lamp is from the 70s and is made by the Dutch company Dijkstra Lampen. The Dijkstra lamp factory, founded by Fokke Dijkstra in 1922 in Cruquius, the Netherlands, started as a small business and grew into a major player in the lighting industry. Fokke, born in Abbega, Friesland, started his career as a baker's assistant, but his passion for lighting led to the foundation of his own company. Dijkstra was known for high-quality, innovative lighting, 100% Dutch design. The company had showrooms in Haarlem, Amsterdam and The Hague, with installation service for customers. This handmade glass lamp can be used as a wall lamp and as a ceiling lamp. The special shape gives the lamp a warm, special light drawing on the walls. Comes with a (used) reflex lamp. It is intended to be connected directly to the electricity on the wall or ceiling. Although it also looks nice with a plug as a table lamp.
